Artist Statement

Variety, texture and exploration have always been very important to me – in weaving as well as in life. I feel that curiosity about our world is the start for wonderful adventures and it is especially delightful to look with new eyes at relatively simple structures that are easily within reach.

I have been applying this curiosity and principles to my weaving and am always fascinated by the end result. There is nothing more thrilling than manipulating a weave structure to the limit or playing with unusual colors and textures. There is always the same mixture of excitement and apprehension when the woven pieces roll off the loom when it's done!
